So you need to do Bro’s before Ho Ho Ho’s at level 70? No problem.

DON’T FORGET YOUR MISTLETOE

!!! NEW: GRAB A DEMONIC RUNE IF POSSIBLE!!!

Brother Keltan is located on the Zeppelin patrolling around Icecrown. If you need to get to Icecrown see this guide.

bff_death00

Once your in Icecrown head up to 63.6, 28.8.

Now comes the hard part, the hill of death.

bff_death01

1 – Strip naked to get as low health as possible.

2 – Die and eat a rez to keep your health low.

3 – (Note: If you have a demonic rune with you, you can do the part in green over and over to get to low health, then run up to “death spot 2″ and use the rune to kill yourself skip to step 10 ) Do part one in green. Keep sliding down the face of the hill so you land in “death spot 1″. You will loose a bit of health each time, just keep repeating this till you die.

4 – Verify with your corpse in “death spot 1″ you get the “accept now” resurrection around death spot 2.

*** DON’T ACCEPT IT ***

5 – Once your dead in the proper position you need to make a macro to dismount from the spirit form flying mount.

bff_death04

6 – Drag this macro icon to your button bar.

7 – Now make sure you line up the flying mount on “Death spot 2″. Move your mouse over the “Accept now”.

8 – Press “Spacebar” to fly straight up. Fly way way way way up.

9 – You have to hit the key assigned to your dismount macro. Once you start plumetting down to the earth keep pressing your left mouse click so you accept the rez before hitting the ground. With any luck you will smash into the earth and die in “Death spot 2″. If you miss and rez incorrectly just repeat the whole process. It can take a while!

10 – You now want to fly to the zeppelin and head to the last gun position on the right side. Chill out and wait till the Zeppelin is over your corpse. You can also /dismount at this point to make it easier to position yourself on the zeppelin.

bff_death02

If you died in the correct spot

bff_death03

Don’t fall!

Use the mistletoe on the Brother Keltan, he wanders around the zeppelin.

Note: Big thanks to Wildhorn for explaining how to do this at Wowhead. Thanks to Banalina for the Demonic Rune tip.

You can skip the falling part, if you still have your Skull of Impending Doom lying around. Awesome item that can be used just like the Warlocks’ Hellfire whenever you need a death at a specific point. But the positioning was perfect, thanks.

I just found this about two hours ago and tried it, the killing myself wasn’t working out so well so I got onto my husband’s account and used his Alliance Death Knight to kill me, worked like a charm, thanks so much :D .

Awesome! Thanks so much for the guide! Without you, I would have had no choice but to give up on collecting all the Winter’s Veil achievements. It was really cool when all the 77+ people on board were wondering how the heck I got up there.

I lured the nearby Glacier Penguin cirtters to death spot 2 to kill me. Slow but easyer than falling :D Thanks for the guide!

Took a few tries to get myself good and dead at spot #2, but it worked! I like that penguin idea just above… nice. ;)

As a mage, at least, landing on the back wing worked for me, too. I mounted and feather-falled just incase, but had no trouble getting to the boat. Thanks a ton!

I had someone duel me til I got low hp and used death ray to finish myself off, not the best way but as a rogue it’s hard to take fall damage for such a little fall… Great guide, worked like a charm!

    Just two little nitpicks:

1 – All the ‘your’ should be ‘you’re’
2 – The ‘loose’ should be ‘lose’

Otherwise, heartfelt thanks! I’m going to try tonight on my priest 73

    It works! Thanks.

It was a little easier than your method for me as a lock. :) It was very easy to kill myself.

    Great strategy! Thanks!

Couple of things though. I couldn’t get /dismount to work in spirit form. Maybe they changed that with a patch? Also, like someone mentioned above, I couldn’t land on that spot you pointed out, so I tried the back wing and it worked wonderfully. I did the jump from the wing to the spot you pointed out with a Parachute Cloak though (triggered cloak, mounted, then jumped). So I don’t know if mages and non-engineers can do it.

A tip for others, I did mine at 63.5, 28.19 and the airship takes roughly 18 minutes to do a full round. So keep your eye on the clock and go do other things while you wait for the ship to come around!

The /dismount in spirit form has been disabled, but as others have pointed out you can still use Death Spot #1 to get on to that wing and then slow-fall over to the cannon platform. As of patch 3.3 veryone can now use slow-fall thanks to the release of Evonice’s Landin’ Pilla [http://www.wowwiki.com/Evonice%27s_Landin%27_Pilla] – an easy to get quest reward from Thorium Point in Searing Gorge.
